Dresden7Actually it‘s only $50 over. The $499 was a limited time launch MSRP that had s hidden rebate. Actual MSRP is $599.

CokemanIf msrp is $600, amd needs to just drop out of the market and sell only mining cards, because that's $100 over a 1080 which outperforms it.

cobakThat’s not going to happen. AMD is so full of BS with that statement. If you look at all the major PC YouTuber they all made a very angry vocal statement to AMD over how they tricked them, and some like Jayztwocents said that he no longer will recommend, use, or accept review samples of AMD cards.

CokemanAMD doesn't sell these directly, they have no control over retail pricing. Get over it.
Jay also retracted his statement, but damage done I suppose.
I'm enjoying my Vega 56 quite a bit though, and it'll go on watercooling soon enough.

AtomkinderMust have been nice to be able to buy one. I had newegg and Amazon constantly refreshing and when they showed up they were already sold out.

BobertI bought one of the packs on Newegg as Steam let me return Prey which I had only bought two days prior and put an hour into so far. I knew I was going to buy New Colossus at some point so it's not really much of a premium for me, an extra $40 tops most likely. Now the packs cost more and I'm really disappointed in Newegg (and other retailers). Prices surprisingly seem to be a bit better in Europe from what I've heard.
Edit: I should add that I don't really support joining this drop, I don't think it's a great price.
