I received the large journal I ordered about 5 days ago and really love the look, feel and smell of the leather. The stitching looks tight and the packaging it came in was wonderfully reminiscent of a journal sized burlap sack. I am quite happy with the paper quality of the included public supply notebook. Like others have mentioned the large journal is not an a5 journal but more of a 5x8 journal. I've found some notebooks on amazon that are very similar to the public supply notebook included that fit well in the journal but nothing hardcover. The pen loop is also quite small, but I saw that in the pictures they posted. I have a hard time believing the pen loop is .4 inches in diameter but it is possible it was measured completely folded over whereas to put anything in it it would have to be rounded out. Overall I am quite happy with the journal and it will likely get many years of use out of me, I've found that a good way to make use of the pen loop for fountain pen users is to simply put the clip of said pen through the loop instead of the actual pen. I would definitely recommend this journal to anyone who frequently writes in pencil or if you don't mind a small pen loop anyone who enjoys leather products.

JonokiThanks for your feedback. Glad you liked the leather + packaging! Yes, Public Supply makes great notebooks. Moleskine 5.25 x 8.25 is also a good option.
