At least it appears I've done better than some after reading comments...came back here to add mine-
Purchased July 2014. About 4 months ago began dropping connections if moved or sometimes randomly, would then be refound by PC and reconnect all dropped peripherals
Yesterday plugged in a USB stick, device died (pretty much as usual as I need to pick it up to plug in the stick). This time it did not come back to life.
In short, not durable. Product was mostly left alone as I am not regularly moving devices and USB sticks so definitely not physically knocked around while it was in use.
Used purely as a hub so no comment on charging.

These were the shit with bitcoin mining for a while.
We re-launched this product because we had received enough requests for it, and because it was initially selected by the community as a clear choice for a USB hub in one of our polls.
There are definitely a few things about this hub that have caused problems for some edge case users, and after reading the feedback here we've decided to pull the product listing.
USB 3.0 is an enormously complicated spec to follow compared with USB 2.0, and it gets dramatically more complex the more ports you add. This was one of the first hubs with 10 ports, and as a first generation product it was phenomenal.

Its disappointing to see Massdrop re drop this despite all the negative feedback. As a person who has participated in multiple drops it makes me wary of participating in the future or recommending you guys to friends or family.

Massdrop, you should be looking at your users feedback and not re-listing a device that isn't up to par. I'd like to see a feedback mechanism on previous drops for things so they don't just get blindly voted back.

TLFHThis. I am really starting to doubt the integrity of MD. It's already clear that their descriptions are misleading or poorly written, but when something like this is repeated it makes memes like 'Masscrap' that I've heard start to catch on. These guys should know that online success can be lost as quickly as it is gained once a tipping point of negative sentiment is reached.

Same as everyone else. This USB hub is made so that you have to restart your computer every five minutes to get the thing to work. In addition, don't even bother turning the switches off, somehow the circuitry in this thing prevents anything in the group of USB ports you turned off from ever working again until you restart the PC a second time. What a piece of junk.

Agreed with earlier comments. This product is a failure. My devices sometimes have to be plugged in several times before they are recognized, and even when they are recognized, the ports often randomly disconnect for no reason. I have since thrown this into the recycling bin and bought a highly recommended USB hub from online reviews which has worked perfectly without any of the issues the satechi usb hub gave.
Would not recommend this product
Great news group! The vendor has let us know that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse now. Based on the tracking provided these are scheduled to come in tomorrow. Our warehouse team has been forwarded tracking info and will be standing by, ready to get these packed up and turned around as soon as they come in.
Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, not to worry as we will keep the group posted throughout the process and notify you all if anything causes delay.
