A new pen from Schneider, the Ray is a great choice for beginners and experienced users alike. Its look is sporty, minimal, and a little futuristic, with a glossy plastic body accented by matte rubberized sections Read More
AlanFProbably? It should take a standard international converter if it will fit inside the barrel. The barrel seems to have room for two short cartridges (see video at 1:05) so length of the converter shouldn't be a problem, and the barrel sure looks like it should be fat enough!
I'm not really interested in the rollerball, but this drop has me considering adding the fountain pen to a Cult Pens order:

Dammit, just noticed that Cult Pens have increased the minimum order value for free world-wide shipping from £50 to £70. It's almost like they want you to spend more money...

AlanFAlan, the simple answer is yes the fountain pen accepts a convertor. You offer a good suggestion. I will have a discussion with the merchant and discuss the possibility of adding a convertor to future drops of Schneider fountain pens. They can likely make it an add-on purchase for those who want it. Thanks!

This is a very nice set, I think you will like it.
Schneider is probably the main reason Geha went out of business.
Geha used to be the school fountain pen, then Schneider made a fountain pen with a gold-plated nib at half a the price of the Geha... Ahh, the 80s.
Wish they would expand into the mid-range market. I'd love to see a Lamy 2000 challenger from Schneider. It's a tall order, but why not.
They should have named it Orca instead.
I love my Schneider iD. It writes well, feels good in the hand, and is aesthethetically pleasing and interesting. Kudos to the company for making an inexpensive product desirable.
MrSharkbaitOrca, clever! Thanks for the input, we will share your comments with the Schneider factory. Schnieder celebrates its 80th year next year and have consistently worked on technical innovations and seek to only produce the highest quality of product. They
develop and manufacture exclusively in Germany which enables them to ensure compliance with Germany's stringent ecological and social standards,
kkjbCongratulations on 80 years!
Do you think that you will have Schneider bottled ink or perhaps a retro styled fountain pen available?
A piston filled, hooded nib model like the Lamy 2000 or Aurora Duo Cart type would be awesome!
I have really enjoyed all the Schneider Pens I have purchased. They even work well with troublesome inks that cause other pens to fail. As an example I have a bottle of Chesterfield Obsidian (discontinued?- rumored to be a re-bottled diamine ink) that will not flow properly in Parker Frontiers, Pilot Metropolitans, etc. and my Schneider iD and Base pens use it with no issues.
Could you provide additional details on nib/diameter for these pens? I would guess a Medium nib and 0.7mm Rollerball as these are most common but may be helpful to those on the fence about purchasing.
Thanks!
There is no nib size option during checkout only color pattern and when available right or left handed nibs. According to the company's own website there is no posting of sizes other than a Medium.
