I have had great experiences using these for bicycle touring. A great windproof non-insulated option. They are stylish and very fairly priced on this drop. I recognize that gloves are rarely waterproof, but these are less waterproof than sealskinz socks. Throughout two weeks of canoe touring, these gloves were soaked through nearly everyday.
They were fine for the two days I had them, then left them on the bus and Massdrop wouldn't replace or refund. So I don't know, maybe they are great gloves, but all I did was throw money into the garbage can.
Very nice gloves, a bit thick fabric but it softens up after a day use.
Nice fit and very precise handling when on. Warm and dry in pouring cold rain up in North of Norway.
I just love them!
There's a bit of Jekyll and Hyde about these gloves. Unfortunately there's more of Mr Hyde because, based on my experience, they are simply NOT waterproof. During a few days of cycling in cool, mainly fine weather, they seemed fine. They shielded my hands well from the chill. However when I spent a day walking in persistent rain, they were wet through within 30 minutes. This was particularly the case when when I gripped wet rock or vegetation while ascending/descending a mountain. My hands ended up so wet and so cold, that I chose to turn back early. Given what they seemed to offer, I am very disappointed with their real-world performance.
More like a 3.5 star rating. Great for the price. Just a tiny bit small. They are water proof in both directions, so they don't breath well but they sure are sturdy.
Great pair of winther gloves, which allows for decent use of fingers.
I do find, that wear and tear is showing quickly though.
They can't be used with smartphones.
Lousy - they do not breathe at all - mine just fill up with sweat (in the winter even) which runs down my arm when I lift an arm. Money wasted. The size was fine.
