christ another sub 1080p diy trashscreen. Hey massdrop, if you can stop sucking seeed off behind the arbys dumpster for 10 minutes, we might just get a touchscreen worth a damn.

Does anyone know if this has a VESA compatible mounting pattern? I looked at the specifications, diagrams, and links but am not certain. There are mounting holes, but those are likely for the rpi and not much info on the stand mount.

Can somebody explain the point of this and why this is like a special thing? There aren't displays you can buy of this size?..

Adding to the chorus - this is a very weird price group. The 7 inch touch screen with NO stand costs $5 MORE than a 10 inch touchscreen that comes WITH a stand/holder? The 10 inch TFT non-touch screen  that is 1378 x768 is only $2 less than the 10 inch touch version that is IPS and 1280 x 800? This is just bananas.

Very confused. The banner image looks like the official 7inch raspberry display. the others look like the common must use a custom OS image display. What is the deal? The Official display is $10 less anywhere else. With the official display, this case https://www.adafruit.com/product/3187 is wonderful.

I'm currently building a PC for my PCMR ascension project, do you think I can shove this in my case and use as a monitor for GPU and CPU temps?? Would probably get a 5 in if that's the case

AzraelianI just use a basic LCD display that connects via an internal USB header. It kicks major butt. Mounts right in where CD drives would go, as if anyone uses those.
