NicheCoderIt's open source, you could just buy it and put the LED boards on a 2d surface instead of inside the cube, and do whatever you want with it! It can't be too complicated to rework the way the boards are connected...
Edit: Well, on second thought, this would be a mess since you wouldn't have the baseboard. You'd have to wire in all the strips by hand.
