So after purchasing one via the last drop here on Massdrop, I did some more research on it to see if people were happy or disappointed with it. Seeed seems to have just rebranded some parts you can get for much cheaper prices in china: http://www.banggood.com/TS100-Digital-OLED-Programable-Interface-DC-5525-Soldering-Iron-Station-Built-in-STM32-Chip-p-984214.html
This is not a rant but food for thought, if Massdrop were felt this drop was great maybe the should have checked where Seeed gets their parts from, and if they simply rebrand or make their own. I'm not saying that Seeed are scummy, since most parts for small electronics have to be manufactured at factories in China anyways, but if it's an order of "TS100 Digital OLED Programable Interface DC5525 Soldering Iron Station Built-in STM32 Chip" rebranded into "Seeed Mini Soldering Iron Kit" then I'm thinking I could just get the one in china- for less that 60% of Seeed's or Massdrop's prices.
My conclusion is that I think the soldering iron is solid stuff, it works and works well. The packaging was good. For this price I'm expecting a case for the soldering iron in order to organize and take care of the product and NOT a bag, who would even use a bag for something like this? There's small parts to it that will be lost in the bag which doesn't even close properly since it's tied together with string.
I was less happy to see that it's a pure rebrand because that would have saved me a lot of money and I could have gotten two instead if I bought it through banggood.com instead. I also emailed Massdrop about this since I've bought one of these "Deluxe kits" through Massdrop.

StarflameNot sure if you have noticed that just about every company small or large gets parts from other sources. A Samsung TV isnt made from samsung parts. Just so you know. You will find very little or subtle differences between product. In the case of tips used and how maby sold with the product etc

kenny.eternexYes, parts that are sourced from companies as orders. This is taking a complete product and sticking your logo on it, calling it a kit because it comes with a few more parts but charged over 200% the value. I really understand how you're thinking about this, but such a rebrand isn't the same as what you're talking about. Imagine if you bought all the parts that make up iPhones, and put your logo on it. This is the same.
