yea... aside from testing filters, I don't see the point of this and wouldn't dare use it seriously. It's so cute though!

PTime. I had already; there are no graph plots or any technical data worth reading on the website. I stand by my previous comments, there is not enough detailed infomation to make an informed decision on purchasing this product for RF Communications. The Australian retailer for this product couldn't tell me anything about it either.
Hey Everyone Great News! I was able to get a better cost on this product from the vendor and was able to drop price for everyone! Cheers.

sorry, no where near enough specs listed to know if this is even good or usable in anyway. I'm a Communications Tech with a IFR1200/Com120B/AF-AR3515AR just so you know i'm not talking out of my arse. J.

TheOtherJohnJ. If you have any interest at all in this, you might want to check out their website (and the FAQs) http://j3.rf-explorer.com/ and maybe contact them. And I'd like to hear your conclusion based on your further research. Thanks.

I have no idea what you would use a thing like this for, can anyone drop a link with a use for it.

LordFancypants1My guess is that a hobbyist would use this as a tracking generator in conjunction with their spectrum analyzer to characterize RF components like filters and amplifiers. The idea is that you take signal generator and output a sine wave, then sweep it's frequency over a range while tracking the frequency response of a device under test with your spectrum analyzer. Imagine doing this to a filter to verify that it's passing the correct frequency range, or verifying the linearity of your amplifier design.
I would agree with TheOtherJohn that this this lacks proper specification information, and that it probably performs adequately for it's $130 price-point.
