for those of you asking for a review I got one of these on the last drop and I don't regret a thing, this little iron is very powerful and super compact, perfect for stashing in a toolbox or electronics kit. the temperature is rock stable even when doing 3 14GA wires at once. a couple of people have complained about the handle getting hot, I don't see where this comes from as I've used mine for 8+ hours without the handle even getting warm to the touch. I have had nothing but good experiences with this little iron, even compared to some of the professional level soldering stations I have used.
little bit of personal background: I have been playing with electronics ever since I can remember and got my first soldering iron when i was 7, I am currently a sophomore in college studying robotics and use this kind of thing on a daily basis, highly recommend.

Rcircuit96I've been wanting/planning to put together a custom keyboard sometime in the near future and thought this might be a good tool to practice and improve my non-existent soldering skills.
Would you recommend this Iron to a newb who has never soldered before? If not, are there any others that might be a better option for a beginner?
