The best pack of the year was the Gregory Baltoro 65 and they are $150 less than this, and WAY better looking. These are UNBELIEVABLY overpriced. Given what I see in the pictures, these should be $150 less than the Baltoro, not $150 more. What a joke.

JalucianJalucian, these packs aren't really even in the same category as the Baltoro 65. Although the Gregory Baltoro is a great pack, it's just a standard backpacking pack good to about a 50 lb. load. These Revolution packs are made almost specifically to be able to handle a heavy load, 100+ lbs. This Revolution pack also features a suspension system that can be used by itself, so it can be used as a meat hauler, or carry any object that will fit on it. This bag is ideal for backpack hunting, or winter mountaineering with a heavy load. Having a backpack with these features, weight capacity, and it weighs less than 4 lbs., is amazing. The Baltoro 65 in medium weighs 5lbs 10oz. Even for a backpacker that wanted one backpack for all trips, day-trips, weekend, multi-day expeditions, this would be a good choice, as the suspension only weighs 2 lbs 10oz. Just put on whatever size bag you require. Not the best looking bag out there, but these were built for function.

bwhippleAh, fair points. I appreciate you explaining instead of copping an attitude. Respect. I am not a hunter, but I can appreciate how those qualities do make it a better choice for a substantial segment of customers. I stand corrected.

Jalucian@Jalucian - it's fair to ask why this pack is so much more expensive than the Gregory pack made overseas, and it's much appreciated that you acknowledged that the two packs are quite different and therefore not price comparable.
@bwhipple - thank you for the very thoughtful comparison of the packs, illustrating why the Seek Outside might be the best in it's class.
