For those small of wrist and sick of wearing hubcaps, this is your ultra-budget solution. Bang for the buck is there. Don’t kid yourself on the craftsmanship - this isn’t special or engineered to perfection - but the movement is shockingly smooth, exhibition back is nearly the entire case (which is esthetically pleasing), and the face itself is well spaced and clean. The offset lug as a feature is that added element that sold this for me. Definitely a good one for hiking/general outdoors. Killer budget watch, but I’ll have trouble choosing this over my daily glycine combat... that said, color me pleasantly surprised 👍
This is my first automatic, and I am really thrilled to bits with the SNK. I got the 803, which in my opinion is by far the best looking version. I even like the much maligned strap! Enough has been said about the qualities of this series, so I dont need to say anything there. Utterly amazing quality for the price.
One of the most affordable reputable mechanical automatic watches around. For less than $100, you get a workhorse 7s26 movement, a pretty dial, good lume and even a metal band. This watch is lightweight and has a see through case back, with an overall brushed finishing that is close to the looks of a way more expensive titanium case and band.
There are just no negatives and you can't do much better when it comes to value. However, if you have a very big wrist, you may need to look somewhere else, since the 36mm diameter case may look too small for wrists above 7 inches in circumference.
It looks great. The feel and sound are my issue. The band is made of stamped sheet metal not cast like other metal bands. It has a rattle when you walk due to the looseness of the links. Watch youtube if you are considering the metal band.
Love this small watch! There's just something smart and 'fresh' about it. So far it has survived 2 weeks of daily construction work (actually going old school and hitting big nails with a hammer - and the hammer is in the left hand like the watch) and daily swimming in the Baltic sea. So far so good.
Here's why I dropped a star: compared to tritiums the Seiko's fluorecent lume is pretty useless as it fades so quickly. And the stock nylon strap is hard and rigid and seems it's not getting better with use so - consider ordering a better strap with the watch
This is my first automatic watch and I am delighted with it.
The finishes are great for the price.
I changed the strap for a more comfortable one.
The compact size is part of its appeal.
