Yes sir, it seems that way. Last I checkEd (when the link was posted) the watch was “in stock” for the same price of $99 and a ship date of 1-2 business days. I suppose it no longer holds true.
Oh, it definitely is better. This watch has a reliable automatic Seiko movement, which is already worth more than an entire MVMT watch. It has a display back window, so you can appreciate the rotor and movement. And it's made by an historical company in horology. There's no way that MVMT's $3 rebranded watches come even close in quality to anything that Seiko offers. The downside of this Seiko compared to a MVMT watch will be the size. This watch is much smaller. But if you look online for other Seiko 5 models, you'll be able to find some 40mm ones even. Still at a good price, and still durable and made with high quality. Some people have had their Seiko 5 watches for 30 years.
ricardjorgAgreed! Proof that you can still produce relative quality watches for small budgets (the movement is likely Chinese and some have reported +/- 40 seconds a day variability, but can still be durable).
