GalvoAgHey, I'm the guy who reviewed the watch in the YouTube video. Don't let the strap steer you away from picking this up; its a great watch and the strap is easily remedied with a leather nato or something from one of the strap sites out there. Id grab one at this price if I already didn't have one.
jtstav@Ty_Max@andrew.bb Thanks for pointing this out. Certainly a good point, however we're not in the business of tricking customers into purchasing bad products. We definitely want to encourage a healthy discussion about the product, which includes the good and bad points. I think most people won't be surprised when they receive a mediocre leather strap. Seiko isn't known for great leather straps because they have such a high value proposition in almost all other areas. I think the strap is on par with many other Seikos in the entry/mid level tier. Even entry level Tissots and Hamiltons in the $400-500 range have okay straps as well. I think they are a step above Seiko but they also have a lower bang for buck ratio overall.
ChristopherJWell said. Im new (this is my first drop) But I was well aware of the of Seiko strap/bracelet value proposition. You get a great watch for the price, and usually replace the strap. Not the worst trade off IMO.
