Is it possible not to ship this internationally with UPS or DHL but with standard post in order to avoid import taxes?

Dementia_incYou understand that even if they did ship internationally via USPS (which they won't, as they've negotiated deals for international shipping rates), they'd still have to attach a USPS Sender's Declaration form declaring the value of the item(s) and item category.
They could use the $149.99 instead of the $450 MSRP, but you'd still be responsible for whatever VAT or duties/fees were due on that $149.99, if any.

Dementia_incBy standard post I think you means Postal Service? They do ship via either UPS or DHL,but they use UPS MI which is essentially USPS and DHL Global Mail which should be German Postal Service.
However you might still got caught by your local custom, but from what I have experienced it is better than standard UPS and DHL.
And I am not sure if they ship watches with UPS MI and DHL GM,since I never purchased one before.
