Hey all, I made the same queries on the Seiko SSC page but they haven't been answered. Hopefully I can get an answer here, it'd be great if someone could help me with them :)
What does 2 year Massdrop warranty mean? Should my watch malfunction within these 2 years where can I go to fix it and be covered by warranty?
Should my watch come with cosmetic/mechanical defects from Massdrop is there any way I can get it replaced?
Cheers!

The Massdrop warranty matches the same warranty period that the manufacturer offers. In Seiko's case, they generally have a 2-year warranty on their products. If your product is dead upon arrival or there's a mechanical defect, then you should contact our support and they will help facilitate an exchange. Our warranty does not cover user error or an improper use of the product. Hope this helps!

Appreciate the reply Christopher. Does this mean I can visit my local Seiko service centre to repair the watch under warranty should it malfunction? In the case of defects, if my Seiko comes with the dent common to SARB065s, would support facilitate an exchange for me? Thanks!

This is speculation, but I don't think you'll have luck having it repaired "under warranty" at a local service center since this is a JDM, especially if you're outside Japan (which I assume you are because otherwise why not just buy the watch locally? :) )
(The following is from what I've learned from conversations I've had with Massdrop customer care) That said, you will be able to exchange the watch via Massdrop. However, do note that Massdrop does not keep an inventory of the products that it sells to reduce inventory costs, so if you want an exchange instead of a return, then you'll have to wait for
1. Massdrop to receive confirmation of you having shipped your package
2. Massdrop to place an order with the distributor in Japan, assuming they have stock
3. Massdrop to receive the watch from their distributor who is in Japan
4. Massdrop to ship the package to you
These steps overall might take a while. That said, I think it'd be a similar time frame no matter where you order from since you can only source it from dealers in Japan (to the extent of my knowledge), like Seiya Japan, ShoppingInJapan.net, Higuchi San etc.
