@ChristopherJHi Christopher, I ordered a Seiko Cocktail Time with this drop and it will be shipped to France . I have a question about custom duties: As it is considered as an importation within the EU, will it be subject to custom duties ? is Massdrop or the shippment compagny filling any return for that delivery or should I ? Thanks by advance

MathieuZHi @MathieuZ, more information about customs fees here: https://helpdesk.massdrop.com/hc/en-us/articles/215261128-Explanation-of-Customs-Fees
Basically, you might get hit by customs, or you might not. This is just the nature of importing products from another country.

MathieuZI understand that this is coming from the US. So in France you can expect to pay at 20% VAT. There is no return on this.

kgbvaxyup I just checked it, i was just wondering on the redtape : returns ... that would have been needed but I suppose DHL will retain the good and fill the return as it is considered as the importator under EU regulation and will ask for VAT and custom duties payment for delivery (24.5% in tax (20% VAT +4.5% customs) ) on the 317 euros for the price)

MathieuZHere is what I've experienced (in germany): #1 Sometimes the carrier also simply fronts the taxes & duties and sends out an invoice afterwards. #2 Or the goods get send to the nearest customs office where I had to pick it up. #3 Or the goods were withheld until duties are payed (as you described). Let's see. I hope #1 happens, I can't wait :-)

kgbvaxthanks for sharing your experience, yes I hope so ! but despite tax, it is still an amazing bargain - in France, the watch is sold at 700 euros against 317 euros with massdrop ( Euro/dollar change is helping us to even get a better discount)^^
