I got mine today too in the west suburbs of Chicago. The movement is labeled just as in the image and as indicated in Ebzheng's comment immediately above.

Erix@ebzheng @ERENTE @SpiritOne Pretty interesting discussion going on here! To add some clarity, the watches in this drop have a 4R35B movement with 23 jewels and a 40 hour power reserve.
I'm pretty sure that the Wiki is wrong for a two reasons:
1. The 4R manual states 23 jewels: https://www.seikowatches.com/support/ib/pdf/SEIKO_4R35_4R36_4R37_4R38_4R39.pdf I would trust the Seiko manual and the print on the rotor over the watch wiki.
2. Functionally, the 4R35A and 4R35B movements are identical. There were no added complications that would necessitate an extra jewel to be added. It's just hours, minutes, seconds, and date. The 4R36 has 24 jewels because of the addition of the day wheel (which requires a pinion to click twice per day.)
In reality, the changes between the two iterations were very minor and borderline immeasurable. I don't have the full detail but i've read that the mainspring/escapement was tweaked a little bit.

ChristopherJSo basically it's pretty much an update of 4R35A and the only difference from the common 4R36 is one less jewel because there is no day, thanks Christopher, very well written info.
What are some of the upcoming JDM Seiko drops if i may ask? Also, could you please look into the turtle reissue and perhaps the upcoming Seiko/PADI collab on the pepsi turtle? Would be awesome!
