I AM SO DISAPPOINTED!!! I joined the drop for the Seiko SKX in March 2018. What I didn't realize until it was too late was that this particular drop didn't include a warranty of any kind for the watch. Now, after only a few months of owning it, my watch will not keep time at all. I wear it all the time - only removing it to shower - and I will find that it's hours behind, not minutes - HOURS. It's usually when I sleep and there's minimal movement, but I will find that it stops during the day as well. Since there's no manufacturer's warranty on this watch, I will have to pay for it to be repaired. I honestly don't think it'll be worth it. BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING THAT HAS NO WARRANTY!!!

douglassjohnsonThat's the risk with gray market. Seiko watches sold here are gray market. Once a batch of watches is sold, that's the end. Massdrop can't send you a new one. When there is a Massdrop warranty, what that means is that they have a continuing relationship with a gray market supplier who has access to new units to send out to replace defective watches. But for one-off gray market batches, there is no way to have a repair guarantee. And you cannot repair a $180 watch anyway. I just had my wife's $400 Seiko repaired here in Japan one month after the warranty expired, and it almost cost as much as the watch cost new, because the "repair" was a full movement replacement. The labor costs make anything else even more expensive. The days of a guy with an eye magnifier breaking down the watch into all its gears and jewels and reassembling them are gone, for watches in this price range, at least. They hire semiskilled guys who can swap out movements. It's like with computer and television repair: They swap out the entire motherboard, the display, the power supply, or the storage. They are not going in with soldering irons swapping out semiconductors.

douglassjohnsonIt seems like your watch is magnetized. They are very prone to magnetism, and the effects are cumulative. You can find a demagnetizer on Amazon for around $12. Search for a quick tutorial on YouTube. It's very easy to do, and afterwards mine always keeps very good time.

douglassjohnsonsee if you can learn to wear the watch properly, give it . bunch of seiko slings and wear it.....it'll run continuously if you're not dead from the neck down....
