Great news! The group’s order was picked up from the vendor and is now on its way to our warehouse in New Jersey. Given the tracking information provided, our warehouse team expects the shipment to come in by 1/27 and will be ready to get the order repacked and off to you as soon as it comes in.
Occasionally the shipment experiences a delay en route, but rest assured that we will keep the group updated throughout the entire process and let you know if something causes it to be set back.
We are thankful for your continued patience and you can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 1/28 or earlier if anything comes up.

TylerSince we paid for shipping will Mass drop send this out to us with expedited shipping or cheapo economy that will take over a week in the USA alone?
EDIT: How silly of me to expect a response .

TylerOK, so I received a notification that my Monster shipped tonight, and UPS did pick it up. However, Massdrop shipped it Surepost, which means that the package will be sent to USPS for final delivery. Unless, that is, you have a UPS My Choice account. You can upgrade the package for $5 or something like that, so UPS handles the package end-to-end. That is what I intend to do, since I've had Surepost packages disappear when transferred to USPS.
Really, guys? All of the money we spent on this and every Drop, and you ship using the worst and cheapest class of shipment? Do you also do this with more expensive watches, like the Seiko Shogun drop you had last Christmas? This is probably my first and last drop if that's the case...

roger821@SpiritOne @roger821 You both bring up some great points. One of our key aims is to always provide the best possible price for items we bring to the community and the ship methods we use. With items that are more expensive we routinely upgrade ship method for both domestic and international members and ensure signature upon delivery for US orders.
Further information about couriers we use can be found in our Help Center: http://helpdesk.massdrop.com/hc/en-us/articles/213150137-What-couriers-does-Massdrop-use-for-shipping-

TylerTyler,
That's fair enough. I wonder though, what is the threshold that you use to determine what is a "more expensive" item? I will look at the link you posted above, but I doubt that I'll find the answer.
It seems to me that anything over $100 (an arbitrary number to be sure) could be considered "more expensive." But then again, that just could be me talking...

roger821It's not that Canada Post is so great it's that UPS sucks so hard. Also I'm never home for delivery. If they don't dump the package at the door in plain sight, I end up trecking to the industrial section of our city to pick it up in the limited hours they are open. With Canada Post I just go get it at the local post office 5 minutes away, open evenings and weekends.

roger821I bought a Sarb035 from them for $277.49 back in November 2015. So, above that at least.
They sent it w/ UPS Surepost shipped on 11/25 arriving on 12/01. (North Central United States area including Chicago, Des Moines, Minneapolis, Omaha, Kansas City).
I doubt it costs much to send w/ UPS Surepost the "shipping fee" we pay must cover the shipping cost to Massdrop (if they have to pay anything) plus the miniscule amount to us... then the rest must be profited. Not to pick a fight but they could at least offer an option for faster shipping (at least for USA and possibly Canadian members).
Also, UPS Surepost hands off to a local post office and they won't deliver on the weekends. Why upgrade to UPS ground for $5 when USPS priority is ~$7 (if Massdrop would just send it that way)?
While I understand the cost savings that come for a small businesses with Surepost, simply offering another option would be great. Perhaps, UPS priority minutes the cost for Surepost would be fair?
Edit: I paid $3.50 more to UPS for UPS ground, they say I'll get it on Wednesday 02/03/2016, not yet shipped as of 01/28.
Also, it's not that people in North America are expecting overnight delivery w/ these guys but something better than the cheapest possible option when they happen to charge for shipping would be great.
In my opinion an extra expedited shipping fee of ~$5, or just $6.50 for USPS priority shipping would be great for US customers, they can reach most of the country in 2 days and the entire country w/in 3.
