Who needs a smartwatch to inspire them to walk? Not me! In my ongoing mission to store power in my Seiko Kinetic watch, I've found myself walking more to ensure that the watch keeps running. I have a few dozen watches with half a dozen I rotate on a daily basis so when I wear this particular watch, I make sure to walk extra. I store my automatic watches in my watch winder but since this watch is kinetic, the only way to charge it is to wear it and walk. This kinetic Seiko is similar to many of the other Seiko divers -- I don't know what it is, but it just wears differently. It has a bit of a weight to it but not crazy heavy like some of my chunky Invicta divers. It's comfortable and I can wear it to hours at end without discomfort. As far as style goes, it has that classic diver look to it...you can wear it with business casual apparel or wear it with jeans and a T-shirt. Heck, I'll wear it with a suit and tie if I didn't have other dressier alternatives. I've had the watch now for around 6 months and it has worked itself to be in my daily rotation. I'll recommend it to any one with just one caveat - you have to be prepared to wear it and walk or you will run out of power!

After a few weeks I am impressed with the solidity and accuracy of this watch. My concern has to do with the power reserve and the button we are given to measure it. My reserve is increasing but so slowly that the nominal 6 month max is probably as meaningless as a distant horizon when every thing you have to worry about is in the foreground . ( somewhere online I was informed that watch winders don't work with kinetics. Why give the watch a button that clutters its surface and probably compromises its water resistance to give us unessential information? A 2 second tick for low power (which it has) is enough to tell us it needs charging. After all, most other autos don't even give us that. Otherwise its fit, finish and functionality for the $ are still very satisfying. R

I love this watch. My daily wear is a Breitling Shark for the past couple of decades, but this watch has been pushing that out as a daily wear. It is very comfortable, keeps great time and has a nice weight and field to it. It has a great look to it as well. Very classic. I highly recommend it.
