Seiko Prospex King Samurai Automatic Watch
New Bezels, Crystals & Dials
Seiko recently gave its famous Turtle collection the “King” treatment, complete with new bezels and dials. Now another celebrated watch lineup gets the upgrade: the Samurai. New to 2020, the King Samurai features the bold, angular stainless steel case of its predecessor. The dial, however, now features a raised checker pattern for added depth (and a subtle manta ray silhouette on the SRPE33 model). Also new are the ceramic bezel inserts—a hallmark feature of premium dive watches. Fitted with a caliber 4R35 automatic movement, the King Samurai comes with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal with a cyclops eye to magnify the date window. Each model is highly lumed for visibility and fastened securely on the crown and caseback to preserve the 200-meter water-resistance rating.
