So that previous price for the last drop was a pricing error?
I can understand how folks are upset that they missed a steal due to a pricing error (if that's the case). And that Massdrop may have stepped on peoples' toes in dealing with it.
But it's an unsustainable model to continue to sell something at a mistakenly low price. How can you expect a company do that?
I guess what we have to ask ourselves is, is the current price fair, and does it represent a good enough deal compared to other prices that it's worth buying it here?
If not, don't buy. But it seems like a lot of folks feel that it is a good enough deal for them.
No one should expect to get a price that was mistakenly set too low in the past. I can understand, however, how some folks who bought at that price back then would be upset if they didn't ultimately get it.

K.T.NI think Massdrop stepped up & tried to accommodate as many as they could when the original drop ended so abruptly. I had joined the drop very early, was charged & later informed that I had not made the cut & was issued a refund. A day or so later I was notified that Massdrop had sourced more watches & I could re-join the drop. I did & got my watch. I have no idea what happened on the original drop for it to end it so soon, but the price was very good & MD provided a warranty, so it may have been a goof up. I am not surprised that they aren't offering the $169 deal again. It is sad that some people were let down on the original drop. I experienced that disappointment for a couple of days & as a result, I ordered one from Amazon for $315 & returned it after I was re-confirmed in the drop. I am curious about how many had the same experience as did I. Joining the drop, charged, being bumped & then being reinstated. BTW The watch was BNIB with all tags, box & wrapping. Just had to dnld the correct manual.

K.T.NKTN, Have you seen an official MD statement about the issue? I haven't.. and until I see one I can only expect the same price.. It is an ostrich reaction until then (from MD).

PepiXNo, I don't know of a reply from Massdrop, but I haven't been looking for one, either.
In truth, I am on the very edge of what happened - I hadn't looked at MD for several days, and when I got back there was a frenzy of frantic, confused discussion about what had just happened. So I wasn't caught up in the storm at all.
Because of that, I really have no skin in the game regarding that previous drop. So I haven't been actively looking for an explanation as to what went down.
But the fact that the drop was terminated prematurely in what seemed like a panic, and the fact that the watch has now been offered at a much higher price (if, agruably, still a good deal for some), leads me personally NOT to expect to see it at that same price. Probably ever again.
That's just me connecting the dots.
I do agree, however, that Massdrop should provide some sort of explanation if, in fact, they haven't done so.

K.T.NIt wasn't a pricing error.
They sold 50 units at a lower price.
It's pretty simple.
