Great watch--fine movement--accurate, with a power reserve surpassing much more expensive ETA movements. Crisp modern styling, but I'm waiting for the uber cool, elegantly refined Seiko 'Cocktail Time" SARB065 and the SARB017, (shock resistent, antimagnetic, water proof, stop second hand, movable internal compass ring, sapphire crystal, etc) to both drop back my way!
But for the look of a multi thousand dollar 'Grand Seiko' for a small fraction of the price, the 033 &035 more than hold their own. Very hard to get a watch with a movement of this quality in a durable, well designed dress watch for this price. Less likely to need a service than my ETA movement watches and the price to service an ETA is more than the total cost of these watches! The Seiko 'inhouse' 6R15, 6R15C movements used in these, along with the 'competitor's' Citizen Miyota 9015, are favorites of mine, making it increasingly hard to rationalize Swiss movements. I would grade the outer finish on these watches as equal or better than the very good Swiss made Hamiltons, owning examples of both.

RangelRangel, Excellent review. I could not agree with you more. I bought one on the last drop, and it's become one of the prized watches in my collection. Just an incredible value for the money. Grand Seiko level fit and finish for about 1/10 the price.
