At this price point I don’t think you’ll not find a better new watch tried and try Seiko great watch for the money you could pay this much for a single bracelet link on some brands every collector should own a Seiko diver imo
ED61Not sure about that. Phoibos makes a dive watch for a similar price and it's actually a true dive watch. All the reviews I've read have said it's very high quality for the price.
brianekernA true diver for under $150 i don’t know i love divers i have too many in fact but I think it all comes down to a matter of personal preference Seiko has been around for quite a while a legible bezel and water resistance is all you need you may be right by the way what movement does phoibos use
ED61300m quartz diver for $120 and 1000m quartz diver for $180. If/when my Casio diver kicks the bucket I'll probably spring for one of those 2.
Edit: It looks like they've changed up their product lineup a bit since I last checked. They used to have a 300m automatic diver for $180. Looks like their automatics are more expensive now.
Edit: At any rate, I don't think automatics make much sense at such a cheap price. The service cost is about the same as buying a new watch. It's a nice novelty but better left for expensive pieces of wrist jewelry. I'll take a well made cheap quartz watch over a cheap automatic any day. I can at least change the batteries in them myself.
ED61Here's my second edit to my comment:

And to add on to that, I have a Seiko SKX007 that needs a service and I just have zero desire to pay the service fee since it's damn near as much as the watch. It takes me 2 minutes to change the battery in my Casio diver and that battery costs me 45 cents. It's why I'm still using it and the Seiko is just collecting dust.
ED61That's still pretty expensive when compared to a battery. I guess if the novelty of an automatic is that important it's worth it but I just don't see the point in them on a cheap watch.
I know enough to know the difference between a watch and a piece of jewelry. They both might tell the time. However your thousands of dollar Tudor tells the time worse than my $40 Casio. Which is why yours is a piece of jewelry and mine is just a watch. So yes, I will enjoy my Casio. Enjoy your jewelry.
