While this movement is not the newer 'hackable movement' meaning you can't stop the second hand dead on the 12 (you can dial it back a few times until it the actual time gets to 12 and then set it) I find this movement in a number of watches using both Seikos, older (this) movement) to be more accurate than the sucessor--the 4R36. At this price, it's a solid watch. Just keep in mind that typically Seiko Sports don't have a screw down crown, although unlike some watches, at least this crown is protected by metal surrounds, but still reamain aware. If you want all black, this watch also looks good on inexpensive nato and zulu style watch bands. It's hard to beat Seiko's lume too.
