RayFThanks, i assume the curved spring bars allow more space for the strap to get thru? I was thinking of getting a NDC strap but i must admit i like the strap and color in your picture very much. May i ask where did you get it and what color is it. I assume it's a 21mm strap?
Cheers.
JustinCaseCorrect, the curved spring bars provide the extra clearance needed to thread a NATO or Zulu past the case. The lugs on this watch are kind of short to begin with and the lug holes are drilled very close to the case. It's not a problem for the supplied bracelet, but trying to thread a strap (even a thin one) through the stock spring bars is next to impossible--I tried it and gave up. Once I installed those curved bars, things became MUCH easier.
Check the link below for the Zulu in the photo--the size is 20mm (fits perfectly) and while they list the color as "Grey" it's really more of that Green/Grey you see in military flight suits. I also ordered the Black/Grey striped version on the same page. I put that one on an Invicta 8926--for that kind of cool "James Bond" look.
Anyway, for ten-bucks each, you can't go wrong. Good luck!

RayFThanks Ray for your clear and kind reply. Have ordered the curved spring bars 21mm and did some research, never saw spring bars so close to the watchcase. The give a snug fit for the steel bracelet but indeed must be a pain for a cloth strap.
Unfortunately Amazon/Artstyle does not ship to the Netherlands so i'm obliged to look somewhere else but i hope to find the same color and thickness.
Looking forward to the Flighty although it is a hell of a long wait ;)
Best regards!
JustinCaseDamn these shipping complications all to hell--seems to be more of an issue everyday? Well, chances are you'll find those straps or better somewhere in the EU.
All the best and remember what they say: "good things come to those who wait!"
RayFYup.... I bought the curved spring bars a year ago and they have worked out great. I use 20mm straps instead of buying the super odd 21mm size just for one watch and they look fine.
HogieAgreed--no need to look for 21mm nylon straps, A) the 20mm straps fit without any noticeable gap between the lugs, and B). if one looked hard for a gap it would only be 1/2 of 1mm ;- )
Those curved spring bars on the other hand really are a necessity!
evan_wangAbsolutely if you intend to swap out the stock bracelet for something more interesting. Even very thin nylon straps won't work--I tried! The curved bars are cheap and they give you a half-dozen or so with each order.
Highly recommend!
RayFHey Ray! Finally got my fully desired setup all together. Got it on the NDC strap with the curved spring bars you suggested!! However, I havent been able to remove those spring bars after putting them on. Nonetheless, loving it to death!

Yes, that should work the same way mine did.
Only qualifier I'd throw in is that the thickness of straps (not the width) is pretty variable. I recall needing to use a plier and some force to grab the end of one or two straps to encourage them to feed past the spring bars. Thinner straps fed through with less effort.
Good luck!
