Without mods, this was a pretty terrible and unwearable purchase. Nothing attractive about it in its original form. Looked nice in pictures, terrible on the wrist. Spent an additional $80 to get it modded and wearable. It's like night and day, but probably wouldn't have bought it in the first place if I knew the extra expenses that went into it.
devadid you replace the dial yourself or did you find someone to do it for you? I have the watch from the last drop, plus the bradystrap, and I'm ready to go for the dial. thx.
FoolthHad someone else do it. The person who swapped it for me said the dial is off by a little bit and had to mod it a bit to make it fit. Unless you really know what you're doing, I wouldn't do it myself.
Player-OneNot sure what the point of that jab was, besides to be obnoxious, because you're actually wrong. If I had a bigger wrist, the dial would look even worse, because it's not the dial that makes my wrist look small, it's the bezel. The dial is actually comically small compared to the bezel. Smaller than my other watches, a couple Orients, and they all look fine. There's no real estate on the dial, everything is scrunched together.

The new dial cleaned up the look, but the hour bars and circles were shrunk to do so. Compare it to my Orient
FoolthI had it done at a local watch repair place. I think any watch repair place should be able to do it. But keep in mind that whichever dial you go with, you're going to lose the day display. I didn't want to lose both the day and date, as there is a dial option that covers both, so I went with the dial with the date display.
