It's funny to me that the one that can be bought ten dollars cheaper with a warranty and immediate, free shipping, on eBay, and from a Trusted Seller with a 100% feedback, that's the one that sold out.

Having just read all the comments, it occurs to me there are some legit reasons to buy this watch.
On the other hand, for those who aren't wild about them--there's always...Heimdallr ;- )

Last year's Monster used the 6R15. This year they have downgraded it immensely and I for one will not be trying it out as I have to wonder how much less lume they are using or whatever other quality downgrades might have been put in place as well for the huge price cut. Also would not be buying on Drop with no warranty when they can be had with warranty at similar or lower price (depending which model) on eBay, of all places, with free shipping the day you order instead of waiting a month. Not a deal Drop

Glen8The blue lume is the padi samurai, the green is mini monster. Both have similar shaped indices and hands as the monster available, which has the blue lume, so I grabbed mine and blasted with uv light to show people a comparison. Green seems brighter maybe, blue is maybe a bit longer lasting? I’d say pretty comparable, seiko does lume right.

I have had this watch for a few weeks. I also have other versions of the original Monsters. To be honest, I like this one better. To me the silver bezel on the other Monsters never looked quite right. I really like the smokey grey bezel. I also like the refiinements or simple cuts in the case and the blue face. I picked one up on another site for $250.

This is tempting but seikos famous for their misaligned bezels so I’ll pass. Also I think the orient triton is a much better watch for a little more money.

JayR278The monster is literally the only budget Seiko diver where you don't have to worry about misalignment, the bezel has no insert, so it's machining is inherent and not subject to gluing an insert in, and the alignment of the minute track insert is also fixed, because of the cutouts for the indices. So that is why you will never find a misaligned Monster.

I own this over a month. This is a very good watch. Surely i dont have a monster but i love this. Yes i agree the bazel color is not upto the mark . i wsh for a blue bazel and blue dial while thisone is black.if there is a green or purple variant i will surely buy one more

I hate it.
This is a MINO--a monster in name only!
It's a shameful insult to each of the previous generations of real Monsters to even mention this abomination in the same conversation.
The bezel is horrendous; it's an ugly color and looks dog-chewed as well. The dials are dull and uninspiring. The only improvement I see is they've finally gone back to the original, spline-cut crown instead of that knurled knob that always looked like a bad metal shop project.
Save you money and buy a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gen monster on the secondary market--or wait until Seiko realizes the error of their ways and finally releases something worthy of the MONSTER name.
Until they do, I'm going on a hunger strike--no more sushi for me!

I mean they ditched the 6R15. It was a better movement then what's in the new Monster.

Monsters are supposed to stand out, not blend in. These guys “work” okay, but both lack the appropriate sex-appeal.

I'd this the new Monster? It's ok, I guess. Some of the design elements are there. Needs more teeth though. Maybe an orange face variant as well
