Got my watch!... unfortunately I got one of the "duds" where the chapter ring doesn't line up properly. Nothing to do with massdrop, a known issue with sumos... still a very nice watch though.

stevie@arislan Bezel alignment has been one of Seikos main complaints. (They don't have many issues, but this is one that spans the entire brand.) So it's something that's hard for Seiko to control between models, let alone individual batches. Sorry to hear about yours, @arislan.

arislanchapter ring is misaligned in mine as well, it sure sucks to get a lemon. they say it is a super easy fix and there are couple of folks who can repair for reasonable cost, check out this thread: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f21/new-seiko-sumo-dial-chapter-ring-alignment-problems-seeking-advice-914780.html
I am going to keep mine unchanged though, running at +1sec per day :-)
