Hey guys,
It appears Seiko did add another small improvement to the SBDC031 and 033 models. According to forum posts and the listing on ShoppingInJapan.net, both models also received the new LumiBrite formulation that, according to Seiko, glows for up to 60 percent longer.

TigoleIf this is the same lume as on recent kinetic tunas (mine was SUN023) it will be in a different league. I can tell you my Blumo's or 2nd Gen Monster's lume are no match. Initial brightness is about the same but it Tuna lasts waaay waaay longer and the glow is softer 'matte' glow if that makes any sense. OTOH I was surprised (& disappointed) to find my SBDC003 lume to be inferior to my SRP307.
Hey massdrop, can I exchange SBDC003 with SBDC033? :p
sound1I have both as well, but I've never noticed my Blumo's lume to be inferior to my SRP309. I would say they're comparable or the Blumo is slightly better.
But, good to know about the new lume. I've been eyeing the SRP637, and it's one more reason to get it.
ZeroAspectSome people do preffer the previous lume though. I'd reckon styling and the lack of prospex branding should be the deciding factor va the lume.
ZeroAspectHave you woken up in the middle of the night and looked at your Blumo and thought, "I wish the lume was better" ? I haven't. It's been bright and easily readable any time I've needed it at night. It's one of the few watches I have where the lume is more than satisfactory.
