I just received mine today. It's beautiful and I could not be more pleased! Since my other everyday wear is a 220g, 49mm Citizen Navihawk, this one doesn't feel much like a 'sumo' to me. It is very comfortable and it's easy to forget that I'm wearing it. I can't wait to see how the 6R15 holds up compared to my radio-controlled Navihawk.
Just to address some things other people have mentioned: 1. The pin and sleeve system for holding in links is a nightmare. Even my wife, who was a professional jeweler for 7 years, complained about how stupid and frustrating it was to take out a link. That's a first. 2. I received a warranty card from Seiko in my box. 3. I find the tapering band exceptionally comfortable and enjoy that it makes the watch face seem even bigger. But then, I like very large watches. 4. Mine came with the notorious misaligned chapter ring. After being annoyed for a few minutes, I no longer care. I may check into having the issue addressed when it goes in for a CLA or if I get it regulated, but it's barely noticeable.
Two days in: My watch runs +5.5 seconds, which I've read is ideal since the mechanism slows as it breaks in. Even if that is not the case, running within 6 seconds of perfect time is actually pretty thrilling for a $350 automatic. For a slightly narrow metal bracelet, I find that this watch wears exceptionally comfortably. It doesn't pull hairs, no sweaty indents on my arm, it doesn't bite into my wrist when I bend my hand back, and, most importantly, it doesn't slide around a lot. I might forget that I was wearing it, if I weren't constantly staring at it. Lastly, the lume is amazing. A quick blast from my pocket flashlight and I get about a minute of insanely bright illumination. And, I mean BRIGHT. It's been my favorite way to show off the watch to people who don't care to hear about the mechanism. After a day of normal wear inside, it still glows slightly after 10 hours of sitting in the dark. Really, a perfect combination of quick bright illumination and longevity.
