Product Description
Made from a thick chunk of stainless steel, the Seiko Superior Automatic is strong, heavy, and built for the outdoors. To prove it, it’s got a bi-directional compass bezel with degree markings, plus a host of emergency signals noted on the outer chapter ring in case you find yourself in desperate conditions Read More
I like the look of the black model.. just not feeling the bright zombie green..
If it were a more neutral green, a turquoise, or red, I'd be in on the drop.
For those interested in the Ground-to-Air code on the chapter ring:
This is something that has appeared on earlier Seiko Alpinist Watches.
It is useful if you are stranded in the wilderness, desert, etc.
A search party in the air can drop a message, or give directions from a loudspeaker, but...
This is a way to respond to the instructions on questions.

I just dont believe those prices, i think every time i get a good deal here but then i look on the internet and the same watches are there for the same price. maybe 10 $ more but not the 525$ that they are claiming here
Stan9The prices quoted are actually legit. But they're like statistics...you can use them to your advantage without looking at what's beneath. Massdrop is quoting MSRP (Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price). What's missing, and is up to you to discover, is what the watch is actually selling for today on the market. Unless there's a very small supply and a huge demand, the item won't come close to MSRP. Especially if it's a model that is introduced several years ago. So, while Seiko at the time the watch was first placed on the market will have MSRP'd the high number, that's probably not even close to what it's selling for today.
Do the research before reaching for your wallet.
ps. I won't buy this watch because the green depicted in the first images is beautiful, but the green shown in the blurry image near the end is puke. Note to Massdrop: You really do suck when it comes to marketing your products via the web. A good percentage of the images posted are incredibly blurry, and I would love to know why you insist on posting pictures of watches where the date displayed in the date window is generally off center with dates haphazardly displayed. Very weird behavior.
