One of the big things preventing me from joining these watch drops on Massdrop is that there is no official, detailed, fully and formally explained description of the "2 year Massdrop Warranty". The Massdrop FAQ states, "All warranties, product defects, or malfunctions should be handled directly with the manufacturer."
So where is the detailed explanation of what is the "2 year Massdrop Warranty"? I am NOT looking for some forum post or reply to a comment thread. I'm NOT looking for a tooltip description, or some e-mail. I'm looking for a detailed, public, official, formal description from Massdrop on what is the "Massdrop Warranty", what it contains, what Massdrop does, whether it is in place of the (non-existent?) manufaturer's warranty, and how Massdrop's warranty can be redeemed.

curtis.f1Thanks for bringing this up. Our Customer Support department is currently in the process of rewording the FAQ and coming up with a more formal description of what the warranty entails. Since the rewording/refresh of the FAQ is still being finalized by them, this comment is the best that I can do at the moment.
For this drop, the warranty covers any defects that you may encounter within a 2 year period from the time of purchase. This is limited to mechanical defects or basically any discrepancies between how the watch should function and the unit that you received. This does not include damage done by the user through neglect or a misunderstanding of the product.
We work with a variety of vendors and there's no clear cut policy that applies to all of the products that we sell on Massdrop. For some products, Customer Support will direct you to directly to the manufacturer who will facilitate the exchanges. Other times, Support may ask you for more information to confirm the defect and Support will facilitate an exchange.
Basically, if you receive a defective or broken product, you should contact Customer Support. They will do their best to resolve any issues that you may encounter to ensure that you receive the product that you expect.
