These are the best, just get them! However, he6se is 699 now. Getting one and going to do a comparison with these when i get them and see how aiva stands with the big dog. headphones in this price range are getting hyper competitive.

Z0d1AcAdorama I believe. Ya'll should visit slickdeals once a while. They got some posters there clearing warehouse overstocks in different categories. The $700 HE6SE deal reaches 5 stars.

phophowell, he6se is more transparent than aiva. Aiva's high is slightly brighter, but he6se's high does extends better. he6se has more energy in the mids which is just precious. Aiva's low is somehow slightly more apparent and elastic which is something I really appreciate considering the nature of planar magnetic. But again, we are talking about two totally different price point product. For 699, he6se could be justified, for 1799, no. The difference in performance is much smaller than in price. And there are 1000 differences that words just cannot describe. How do I put this? At this price point, aiva practically annihilated hd650, hd660s, a2000z, dt1990, sundara, m1060, x2, elex. I appreciate everything aiva does for this price, the sound quality is just simply unbelievable. Nonetheless, he6se does sounds more realistic. However you need a much higher power amp for he6se, preferably, a speaker amp with he adapter. I use the monoprice thx aaa 887 which has 6w power for 32 ohms. For he6se, i recommend the amp that has power no less than this. ef1000's 20w would be lovable here. soundaware p1's 6w and ifi ican pro's 12w will get you started, but won't be ideal. sp200 just simply won't cut it, since I have personally tried, dead quiet with certain songs. Get a high power amp that is higher than sp200 before you get he6se. For aiva, any 3w amp can pump this thing with plenty reserve left. So, for anyone who just have 479 and want absolutely great sound, there is no excuse to hesitate, just buy the aiva. For anyone who is willing to invest in an amp and love to test with different equipment and want slightly better than already great sound, he6se will benefit you better.
