Featuring a single 15-millimeter dynamic driver and two Knowles balanced armatures, the XBA-6in1 IEMs are a great upgrade over the previous 4in1 model. They’re designed to be worn with the cable straight down (rather than around the ear) and have standard MMCX connectors for easy cable replacement Read More

Do the treble have energy or no? That will determine if it's trying to be an H3 or a Z5.. I prefer the latter having both. For the price if these come close, could be a good gym or beater set.
Just buy two, one of them stop working, while trying to unplug the cable this happen, would not buy again.
They are very fragile, impossible to unplug and not very good BASS. thanks Massdrop
How much burn-in do these guys need?
While these seem to have great potential, I'm not really impressed with these compared to my AKG pack ins from my Galaxy S8. Bass is great, loads of detail but vocals and sound in general seem a bit flat sounding and distant(?) in comparison. I've tried the various tips to make sure I got a good seal but it made no difference in the sound. I have also used different sources to test, Galaxy S8, Sound Blaster X G5, G6, AudioEngine D3 and a Monoprice Hybrid Tube Dac/Amp.
-update
I gave these a good 60+ hour burn in with pink and white noise. They have really opened up, I am very pleased with how these sound. No regrets.
RamboneI did 72+ hours with the 1 More app and changed to foam tips from my Pinnacle PX, it is sounding really good, yes not as good as my Pinnacle PX, but that needs a lot of juice and XBA doesn't. So comparing to that I'd say for the price it is really good!
Does any know how these compare to the genuin Sony XBA-H3? I have a pair of those and like them a lot.
It would be pointless for me to get these unless the sound quality is pretty decent. Then it would make a good beater pair of IEMs for me.
These days, I hate the idea of getting IEMs that are good for the price, and then realizing I could have bought a really quality pair of IEMs with all the money I spent chasing a bunch high-value IEMs that sound really good for the price, but aren’t top tier.
K.T.NEh I mean for the Price they are decent.. There are better in the range.. BTW these are 0% metal on the casing, that is just coated plastic. They do sound decent though dont get me wrong, but they are not Sony quality BA's
why would anyone waste money on Chinese knock offs. Can guarantee that it sounds awful and last for a few days max.
Just look at the lousy quality and massdrop has the cheeks to even sell such garbage.
HmmmmmHmmm... Let me guess. One, not all chinese IEMs are knock-offs, although these do look a lot like Sony's XBA-A3 and XBA-H3. Two, because the sound quality you get for the price is astounding, just look at the T2s. The Senfer don't fall too far behind, but they aren't as clean sounding. Three, not all are of terrible quality. The build quality on these is actually quite nice, unlike what's shown in the pictures (although the cable sucks, luckily it's replaceable). What sometimes suffers is the quality control of the more expensive brands. It's easier to get a dud that went past the checks. It's a risk that some are willing to take. But some companies, like KZ, are actually ok in that regard too. Also, I haven't seen may T2s have problems. These Senfers are quite problematic, but that doesn't throw shade on the category as a whole. There's a whole thread on Head-Fi dedicated to the so called chi-fi IEMs and there's a lot of them that are actually worth the trouble.
I have using my XBA for 48hrs now with the supplied accessories listening from music source Spotify via my Samsung Galaxy N8 and xDSD dac/amp and have concluded the following:
1: The supplied mmcx cable IMO is to rubbery. Very difficult to recoil and store away after use into the supplied case. If you are to wear them drop down from ears, it should have a chin slider so that the iem is more secure when wearing.
I suggest changing this poor quality cable.
2: The supplied ear tips leaks alot of sound. I suggest changing them for memory foam tips like comply to have that perfect sound seal.
With the modification listed above I can say these sound very, very good, I can hear detailed sound separation from instruments. In fact it is on the same par as the T2 if not better with little bit more bass and mids.
I do like these alot but with the mods inplace.
