Makes sound dull and dark. but then it has less base and less treble...
Connected to HD800 and with 2.5mm TRRS option
First issue, connector on HD800 ends, when inserting, it is not as smooth as stock cable. It is extremely hard to unplug the cable.. you really have yank it to take it out of the headphone.
Worst of all, it made HD800 sound really dark without any dynamics. Less base, less treble and less sound stage.
Main music I listen is classical music....
its an adequate replacement for the stock cable , especially if you’re looking for balanced. There is a discernible difference in sound , listen with this for at least a couple of hours before judging. I am using these with HD800 and the Aune X7s ( Some EQ is needed to dial this in )
I am using this with my HD800s. Compared with the XLR that comes with the HD800s, the Fanmusic seems to loose a bit of bass and somehow makes the HD800s less full that what it had with the Stock XLR cables.
Got this for my Campfire Audio Cascade headphones. Connections are secure and the cable is well made. Been using almost daily for a few months now without any issues.
