Is it possible to get a 3-pin xlr to 4-pin xlr adapter? Or a 4-pin xlr to 3-pin xlr adapter would be better? But I'm not sure if that would bottleneck the signals.

tRuE0084-pin XLR would be used for balanced headphones, 3-pin would be for unbalanced (same as a TRS). Why do you specifically want an XLR adapter? Why not just plug in with the MUCH more common TRS phone jack?

EniGmA1987Because I have a CMA800R and was planning to get another for dual mono blocks. Which means I would need the 3-pin XLR. But some of the amps in my position have 4-pin XLR outputs. Therefore, I didn't want to buy a 3-pin XLR cable and another 4-pin XLR cable. I rather buy a 4-pin XLR with a 3-pin XLR adapter.
And I'm pretty sure 3-pin XLR is balanced. The 3-pin XLR comes in pair. One 3-pin powering the left channel and another 3-pin powering the right channel. Also the TRS jack usually provides less power than the balanced option, about half the power I think.
