This definitely isn't Massdrop's fault.

Unfortunately over the past few years Sennheiser put a strangle on pricing of many of their higher end headphones. The HD600 have been out for nearly 15 years now, and they're trying to keep the prices artificially high on them by bullying retailers. They could definitely allow the price to drop a lot more.

For this reason, I have avoided purchasing sennheiser products, and will continue to do so. In the past years I've purchased from AKG, Beyer, Hifiman, Sony, and Audio Technica instead.
