Hey guys, let me check on this, at our last internal product meeting, I heard a price that was definitely better than $309. The guy in charge of this is on vacation (nice of him to setup the buy and then leave town). I'll get back to you guys soon.

I am only 'committing' based on the expectation that a material improvement is going to be made -- don't want to get left out in that case due to some unknown quantity limit like there was for the Hifiman drops.

Also, it's surprising (and unfortunate) to see so many drops lately where there's only a single price point. Unless this is about the vendor imposing a quantity limit, it kind of defeats the premise of Massdrop's special (and very cool) take on the 'group buy' concept, no?

And 25 is an incredibly low lone 'negotiation point', given the demand hinted at by the announcement.

Also, just want to add -- there might've been some confusion stemming from discussions on the recent voting polls related to this. I know that at least Steve had gone through our "Mid-Range Audiophile Headphones" thread (he responded there last night) where there'd been several references to the HD650 Black Friday pricing being around $320, or $340 w/ $50 iTunes gift card, and some people expressing hope for that TYPE of relative/proportional discount if we ever got a HD6*0 drop in either form. But that was before it was announced that the drop was planned for the HD600.
