We talked to the vendor earlier today and have more information for you in addition to some background info to add context.
Short version of the story is the vendor will be shipping these out from their warehouse between 10/13-10/14 and if everything goes smoothly it will be arriving at our warehouse towards the end of the week.
If you don't want to wait that long please let us know at email@example.com and we will refund your order ASAP.
Long version is that the order was sent to the vendor within hours of the drop ending. The vendor gave no indications that the delay would extend this far. Every ETA that we gave was based on what we were being told by the vendor while they processed the order. After the shipment didn't go out as planned we pushed to talk to someone higher up and were finally able to resolve the issue. Unfortunately this would require a production run and those would be undeliverable until Mid-November. We let the vendor know that this was unacceptable and they are currently pulling inventory from the rest of their sales channel to accommodate the group's order. This should be resolved towards the tail end of next week. After the units are consolidated they will be shipped to us early the following week.
Situations like this are undesirable for the group and we try our best to avoid them, but they do come up from time to time and we appreciate the group's patience with us as we work with vendors to resolve problems.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 10/15 or sooner if something comes up.
Thanks for the honest update.
Remember everyone, good things come to those who wait!
As less-than-ideal as the situation is, thank you for the transparency. Please continue to give this level of detail in your updates.
