Sennheiser’s MOMENTUM In-Ear IEM may be small, but it has no shortage of detail. Starting with the audio, this compact IEM comes with dynamic drivers and precision-milled, all-stainless-steel acoustics Read More
Coming straight from my FijiO M6 DAP, I found the sound of these a little arid and not great on vocals. Then I put the Radsone Ear Studio between them and it improved things considerably. A clean, objective, Sennheiser sound. Not happy with the stock tips, but a pair of Comply fixed that.
Best earphones I've used. Been using these for gaming and for music, the audio is fantastic. Would highly recommend!
Edit: Right earphone stopped working just a little under a year of use
Very average ... PS. A month of use, I have to upgrade to Very Good!,
I would call myself a second tier audiophile with listening experiences going back to NoFi and 78s, going forward with all of the various sound/audio processes. Also I have or had dozens of earbuds, IEMs and headphones. My reference for earbuds are the 3 and 4 Etymotics and these don’t even come close. In fact the similarly priced 1More are superior. These are essentially midrange (and at times shrill) earbuds. At $40 they are fine for some specific music. Had I paid the original $100, I would have returned them.
PS. After a month and most importantly a change of the eartips; I went to the pyramidal shaped tips that fit more deeply in the auditory canal. The sound was strikingly improved; base, which was almost absent with the tips provided with the earbuds was more pronounced and midrange was now cleaner. Also improvement may also be to a “burn in” over the past few weeks of usage.
