Can someone who has one of these comment on how fire affects the gaskets? I would be concerned about degrading them with heat, but maybe that is unfounded.

J.E.Lsilicone gaskets should withstand over 200°C, I use silicone gasket/o-rings on my beer brewing kettle over a rather powerful LPG burner and have never had a problem with them scorching or melting
