Founded in the early ‘80s by Corning, a company with a long history of glass innovation, Serengeti makes sunglasses with advanced lens technology—so you can see clearly in any environment. The Sestriere shades were designed for running, hiking, biking, boating, and other active adventures. Lightweight and ultra sleek, the frame is made from Grilamid TR90 in a universally flattering satin black. The Megol temple tips and nose pads ensure a comfortable, no-slip grip, while the Sedona mirror polarized lenses provide glare-free UV protection with improved clarity and contrast. And because they’re photochromic, they’ll adjust as the light changes throughout the day.
These lenses are made with Trivex material, which is designed to withstand extreme impact and temperature changes. Lighter than polycarbonate, Trivex offers higher optical clarity and the perfect balance of visual and physical performance. These lenses have photochromic, Spectral Control, and polarization technologies, plus lower temperature sensitivity for high photochromic performance in any climate. This allows the lenses to darken faster and deeper in hotter environments. Along with a renewable back-side anti-fog treatment, they feature hydrophobic and oleophobic front-side coatings to repel water, fingerprints, and debris.
