Note on the M1. It's "shuffle" function does not operate how most westerners would expect it to.
The M1 uses some odd one time RNG process to establish the "shuffle" order. If you go to "My Music" -> "Open All" and select play, the "shuffled" song order will always be the same. If you navigate tot he 2nd song and select Play it will be a different order than the first but always the same. Very annoying.

Rochambeaux...that seems to imply you could just "re-shuffle" it, like a deck of cards, no? To force a new, "one-time" process to establish a new "shuffle" order.... perhaps?

trellusNot really. Let's say you scroll down the 10th song under "Open All" and hit play. That "random" order will be repeated every time you select that song with "shuffle" enabled. Again i don;t understand the logic behind it but then again maybe it's just a design flaw they felt wasn't worth correcting.

RochambeauxI'm not sure the manufacturer sees it as a "design flaw". I have a Sony Walkman about 8 years old (not sure, bought it used) that does the exact same thing. I have come to manually shutting it down, then selecting a new beginning song upon turning back on.
