Does this have any advantage over an EarStudio besides its DAP function?

Built2SpillMy ES100 EarStudio disconnects from BT every few minutes after a week and I found the sound “disappointing”. Hopefully both not an issue in the M3s.. if is, then Meh.

PaulNSI can't stand my earstudio. I love my Solasomi Roger. For only $15 on Amazon, you should try one. Very solid build, good signal, great battery life and pretty decent sound. It is a little bright and not as warm as I prefer, but the portability and durability are unbeatable for the price.

ATXBBCThanks for the suggestion! I have the Roger queued up on Amazon for the next I have enough items for free shipping. All I really want is a 'reliable and good sounding' portable BT receiver..

I’m sorry to hear about your experience, but I honestly think the ES100 is easily the best audio, or electronic for that matter, purchase I’ve ever made: I have bought 3 total, for myself and gifts for others, and all work great. I work outside in a physically demanding job that requires a Bluetooth solution; plugging a wire directly to the phone is not possible, and the ES100 sounds noticeably better anyway. The phone app is just brilliant too.

Built2SpillRecently upgraded to a Fiio Q5 with AM5 for some of my hard to drive cans. Gave my ES100 away. Glad you enjoy yours though! That is what really matters with any piece of audiophile equipment.

ATXBBCI am on Q5 now with AM3B. Sound is nice, although Q5 lack hardware EQ (except “bass boost”) and FiiO Player is not playing over BT on latest iOS. So, for no adjustments (or can/want to use 3-star FiiO App), Q5 is OK I suppose. Otherwise hardware stack feels limited on Q5.. wish FiiO took aspects of ES100, mainly EQ, especially on device 3x cost.

PaulNSI avoid Apple products like the plague. Might explain many of the differences in experiences.

ATXBBCDude, that Q5 looks awesome. I may have to give it a try as well: you can’t have to many options.
i wish someone would develop an ipx rated Bluetooth adapter.

AndroidkneeES100 does have one of better app packages and EQ. I still use Q5 even without EQ though :( I wish FiiO took some features. Now I have a broken ES100 and an working ES100 collecting dust.. also, half-size Q5 would probably be more ideal shape for me.

PaulNSIf your broken ear studio is less than 1 year old, I'd contact them for a replacement.

Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?
I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better. I also find that my PC38X don't get quite as loud as I would like and I was wondering if a cheap amp like the iFi Go link would draw a little more volume out of my phones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN6MM822?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I went with the PC38X since it was considered the best bang for buck headphones. Looking for a gaming/content audio setup
Hello! I'm looking for recommendations on audio setups. I'd be planning on using it mostly for gaming. Preferably I'd like a pair of large closed back headphones since I have a big head and jaw. I'd also like to hear myself through my mic with mic monitoring. As far as budget goes, I don't really have one. But under 600$ would be nice. I can go higher if needed. The audio setup would be connected to a high performance PC. Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

$10 Drop Coupon Email not sent?
Trying to buy some gear off Drop for the first time. I was told I would receive an email with a welcome to drop $10 off promo. I never received that email. Drop was able to send me emails for my login token and email for Password update. But for some reason the $10 off coupon was never sent to me.

Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.
