is this sized specifically for the Storm 2 or do we get a choice between a holder that fits the Storm 2 or the Storm 2 slim?

I believe the Solar Charger case was designed to fit specifically the Storm2 (now renamed Shargeek 100; not to be confused with the manufacturer name change for their other products). Here's the official product page for the solar charger accessory: https://sharge.com/products/storm-2-solar-power-bank-charger-case-portable-solar-panels-charger-12w However, I see no reason why you can't use the Storm2 Slim (now renamed Shargeek 130), and use the extra space for carrying something else, such as a cable.
