We’ve already introduced you to the FireGlider Laser Mouse, a gaming mouse built by Sharkoon with direct user feedback. While that mouse had all the function you needed, its brother swaps out the laser for an optical sensor that’s easier to use out of the box and works on a wider range of surfaces. There’s also the matter of that slick paint job, a burst of flame over the top that instantly differentiates the Sharkoon FireGlider Optical Mouse.
Ergonomically molded to fit your hand, the mouse rests comfortably in your palm and the thumb pad gives you a solid grip for fiercer gaming conditions. Depending how you like the heft of your mouse, the 4.76 oz body can be boosted by up to 0.69 oz with included weights added in seven different possible configurations. Throwing some function into the equation, the standard two clickers come with five fully programmable buttons and on-board memory makes sure your macros remain with the mouse.
Giving you even more room for adjustment, the scroll wheel can be fine tuned to preference and the DPI selector allows you to choose between nine levels, from 400 to 3000 DPI. Reflecting your selection back at you, the mouse shows your setting through various color combinations. Intelligent, customizable, and bred for high performance, the Sharkoon FireGlider Optical Mouse is a desktop pet that’s here to stay.
