Fantastic craftsmanship
I got this as a gift for my dad who really likes cooking oriental cuisine as a hobby. It was perfect! He loved it and it's very sharp and solid and just feels amazing!

Solid knife, could have been sharper out of the box.
This is a really great knife, fit and finish are good, the Damascus blade is beautiful in person and the wood handle is really well fit. It did come slightly dull out of the box so I'm docking it a star for that but it sharpened up easily on a wet stone.

A truly extraordinary knife
I have a smaller knive in this style, and Enso HD from Yaxell, also made from VG10, which is one of my favorite knives, it is only 5.5". This one is slightly larger and for many tasks it is becoming my favorite knife. The quality of this knife is just brilliant, and the sharpness "out of the box," is beyond reproach. Since I am a plant-based cook super sharp and thin blades make all the difference. The difference between crusing and cutting. If it comes to an onion, with a sharp blade you can cut almost without crying.

It looks like the manufacturer is over in the discussions tab, I'll redirect the question over there
Sorry for not replying earlier, I missed your question. The edge angle is at around 15-16 degrees on each side, it's like with most double bevel Japanese knives. Thanks for notifying us, @JaegerD, much appreciated! 👍 Best, Grega
