I thought I'd share this article with you guys - it's something I put together after chatting with Phil Kalas (who runs operations at the Horween tannery and also runs Ashland Leather). He knows a ton about leather goods and shell cordovan in particular, so he's always fun to chat with. Last time we talked he told me a bit about how some shell cordovan colors got their name, which I found fascinating.
